Description
We took on several hefty infections, the first being Central Line AssociatedBloodstream? Infections, and we followed the national templateand the national trends of looking at the surveillanceof those infections as well as catheter-associatedurinary tract infections virility x3 ,surgical site infections, and some others as well. So collaboration not only at the facility level, but also at the state level. For Louisiana, we are fortunate to have the partnership with theLouisiana Hospital Association as well as our Medicare QualityImprovement? Organization, EQ Health Solutions,as well as the Associations for Professionals and InfectionControl? and Epidemiology -- which is also known as APIC --and lastly the Consumers' Right to Know Initiative. And then lastly, of course, at the national level workingwith other HAI Coordinators, exchanging information. I've called Dr. Kainer -- her team --several times throughout my effortsto see what they're doing, exchange this information, and making sure that our patientsare at the pinnacle of our effortsof prevention and surveillance.
