Being a hard gainer can really be a drag. You struggle to put muscle on and you'll try everything under the sun to accomplish your goals. The mistakes that you're going to learn about not only lead to poor results but no new muscle. Here is what you need to stop and what you should do instead.
First, it's not getting enough rest because you're working out too much. You've probably heard that rest is when you actually get all your gains anyway. Your workout is the time when you need to cause some chaos and break your muscle down so it can build back bigger and stronger. Your rest works best for you when you get at least 48 hours of it between workouts but that might change a little as you will soon see.
