GTA Online might be corrupting GTA 5 save files - National Console Gaming

GTA V's PS3 and Xbox 360 multiplayer component, Grand Theft Auto Online got off to a rocky start Tuesday morning with eager player's finding it near impossible for connecting on the game's servers and play online. Things might be worse though as many folks are reporting that trying to play GTA Online is corrupting their single-player save file.
Multiple Grand Theft Auto V owners on Twitter and gaming forums including NeoGAF are reporting difficulties with  corrupt save files after trying GTA Online.
"I was looking to get web couldn't so I went into GTA campaign mode as well as the saved file is corrupted," game designer Kevin Dent wrote on Twitter.
"All I wanted to accomplish was play Single player, I loaded into Online simply to check it out, but everything bugged out and failed," one NeoGAF user posted. "Now when I went back into single player, I can don't change characters at all."
