TERA is finally out on floods and consoles of fresh Tera Players are looking out the action heavy MMORPG for the first time. However, before you can really dig in, you first need to decide on a class. This is an important choice as this style of play will probably be sticking with you to your Tera game.

Here's the thing, there is no "best class" at TERA, at least not precisely. TERA is a MMORPG, which means you are going to be in tough battles against creatures called BAMs that will require collaboration from many different classes to succeed. You can not just stack an in-vogue class and win. The meta is going to shift as time goes on, we can let you know what is currently popular, but updates and new fights can/will change what's popular. Still, because you are here, we could try and provide you with some advice.

If you're looking for a fantastic solo class that may get you up to max level fast and safely, the Lancer is a decent choice. It has arguably the best survivability using its shield block attack that, after successfully blocking, allows you to follow up with a powerful combo that does decent damage. Plus it's good training to being a tank, which can be a challenging job in any MMORPG but someone must take action, and also the Lancer is among the very best. There are different options that may clear packs of enemies faster, like the Gunner or Sorcerer, but just keep in mind you need to be more on your toes as your area for error will be smaller.

Outside of solo play, if you're looking for a safe occupation that will be welcome in any class, you can go with either one of those therapeutic courses, Priest and Mystic, as both are going to be required for difficult struggles.
